Seven Wonders of the World
"The happiest men don't have the best of everything. They make the best of everything they have"
Recently I read an inspiring short story. A story that should be reminded by everyone of us.
A teacher gave his students a question as a homework. He ask them to list down the seven wonders of the world which the answer was in the textbook. All of the students had the textbook except one poor little girl. So, when the teacher had gathered all the homework, he began mark them one by one. All students answered
1. The great wall of China
2. The collosseum in Rome
3. Taj Mahal in India
4. Great Pyramid of Giza
5. Leaning Tower of Pisa
6. Petra Jordan
7. Borobudur of Indonesia
However, when the teacher came upon this little girl's answer, he was speechless. This was what she answered.
1. Able to see
2. Able to listen
3. Able to touch
4. Able to cherish
5. Able to feel
6. Able to laugh
7. Able to love
After sat quietly for sometimes, the teacher closed the answer paper, bowed his head and prayed. He was grateful for this little girl that has taught him a great lesson.
There is no need to find a miracle until at the threshold of the world. The miracle is around us.
what do we seek in life?
When we were at small village, we long for big city
When we were at small village, we long for big city
When we live in big city, we long for peaceful village
When in dry season, we ask for rain
When in rain season, we ask for sunny day
When we stay at home, we want to leave somewhere
After we leave, we miss home
When we are in quiet place, we seek for crowded place
After we are in crowded place, we need quiet alone time.
We always want something because we don't have it. When we could find the happiness if we constantly thinking about what we don't have and ignore what we already have?
