Amah and Daisy Biscuits

Amah would bake a lot of chinese new year cookies, but my utmost favorite was the daisy biscuits. She would put it in a big khong guan tin can and gave it to us. Then I would ask my mom not to serve it to the guest so we can have it all for ourself. And when we visit amah's house I would eat as many as I can. After Amah passed away, I tried to find the replicate, but no, even those expensive one didn't taste as fragrant, buttery, and crunchy like my amah's daisy biscuits. My cousin made a pretty close one using amah's recipe but it just didnt feel the same. So everytime I eat a daisy biscuits I will remember my amah.

Another one is steam crab. When I was a kid, everytime amah cook steam crab she would peel the crab for me and she would give me alot of meat 😍
